Electrically-powered lower-extremity rehabilitation system

What I liked about this project is that we truly built a better mousetrap. Having suffered a few sports injuries myself, it was exciting to be part of creating a system that –according to published studies – dramatically improves upon the long, tedious and painful rehab process. 
My role included design and prototyping of two electrically-powered, pedal-assist bicycles –a full-size stationary bike for medical settings and a portable model for home use – and serving as liaison between UI, industrial design and software.
